The Role – Construction Estimator Career Toronto:
- The Senior Construction Estimator will prepare estimates for small and mid-size commercial construction projects, manage trade selection and participate in all aspects of the tendering process including soliciting bids, negotiations and finalizing tenders.
The Candidate:

Diploma in construction estimation and building evaluation technology (DEC) or related degree / diploma and/or extensive experience as a qualified building tradesperson (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).

10 + years commercial construction estimation experience in the province of Ontario.

Certified Construction Estimator granted by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors preferred.

Versed in preparing estimates for Design-Build, Construction Management and Fixed Price type projects.

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Good working knowledge of estimating technology and current construction cost control techniques.

Strong communication skills. Ability to liaise with a multidisciplinary team including clients, engineers, architects, contractors, subcontractors and tradespeople.

Ability to work independently.
